Welcome to Alwyn Fishing, the premier carp and barber angling venue located just outside of Pretoria. About what began as a simple farm dam, nestled near the Rietvlei Game Reserve, has been transformed with passion and dedication into a top-rated destination for anglers of all skill levels. Our journey started with a vision to create a peaceful, well-equipped, and unforgettable fishing experience, and today, Alwyn Dam is a favourite spot within the South African angling community.
The Venue & Facilities
Our expansive dam is a sanctuary for anglers. With depths reaching up to five meters and two islands to fish around, it is stocked with healthy carp and barber, providing an exciting challenge whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned specimen angler.
We have 15 dedicated swims, each thoughtfully designed to enhance your comfort. Every spot includes its own built-in braai and a convenient water point, so you have everything you need for a relaxing day by the water. For your convenience, we also provide clean and modern ablution facilities with hot showers. We are continually improving the venue and are dedicated to providing a comfortable and well-maintained environment for every visitor.
